Team BMR Boss Warren Scott to Quit BTCC drive for British Rallycross it has been announced today.  Scott who drove one of the factory backed Subaru Levorgs in 2016, switches his driving focus to the British Rallycross Championship.  Scott will remain as BMR boss, being able to focus his attention within the BTCC team on management.

Scott will get his adrenaline fix in a Citroën DS3 in 2017.

“Having numerous cars on the grid meant that I could never fully centre my attention on my own race as there was always something going on”, Scott admitted.  This must have been the trigger in making the decision to step down from his BTCC drive. “Although I have a very strong team behind me in the BMR, I’ve found it increasingly difficult to concentrate on my own racing when I had to also focus on the team’s performance and results as a whole,” said Scott.

Team BMR is yet to announce a fourth driver for the 2017 BTCC campaign, with Jason Plato, Ash Sutton and James Cole currently signed.
