For the first time this season Sean Doyle will make a return to the Murphy Prototypes run LMP2 Le Mans car. This time, there is a bit of a difference.

Sean made the jump to sports car racing last year in an Oreca-Nissan LMP2 with Murphy Prototypes in the European Le Mans series. He drove all the races the team entered at some of the world’s greatest race tracks – including Formula One venues such as Silverstone, Imola and Paul Ricard.

Next weekend will be the first FIA Master Endurance championship, as the Murphy Prototype Oreca LMP2 is eligible for the first ever Masters Endurance race. Greg Murphy, team principle, has decided to enter the 45 minute race in Spa Francorchamps in Belgium, running the car in its original Le Mans 2016 specification with its Gas Monkey Garage livery.

The Murphy Prototypes Oreca racecar is due a shake down later this week before hitting the road to Belgium.

Sean is looking forward to getting back out in the 4.5L V8 Nissan engine Oreca LMP2 car. It has been a year since he drove the car, but Sean has been working as a performance driver coaching and driving in the simulator work to practice for real life racing situations.
