Pa Hudson returns with the eye-catching pink Integra in the Formula Vee Festival at Mondello Park this weekend.  Following terminal engine failure at the last round of the Tool Dynamics Irish Touring Car Championship in June, Hudson was forced to retire following five laps of qualifying, scoring no points.

Working with Philip Wright Motors, Hudson has sourced a standard engine with no modifications for this event.  Speaking to Topgear.ie, Hudson explained “Time was against us doing an upgrade to the new power unit, so I opted to run with a standard one.  We worked on setup for the National Mondello Track, so hopefully this will off-set the lack of grunt”.

Hudson leads the production class and is banking on earning solid points at the weekend rather than unlikely outright wins.  Hudson will test on Friday in order to optimise the handling.  “Again, I need to thank Philip Wright, my family and sponsors.  This will be a difficult weekend, as I have some stiff competition behind me.  With my lack of pace, I need to ensure we capitalise where we can on track.  Let’s see if I can spice things up”.
