July 22, 2019 – Currently sitting in the fourth position in the F3 Americas Powered by Honda championship point standings, Global Racing Group driver James Roe Jr. is aiming for a win this weekend. Competing at the Virginia International Raceway in Alton, Virginia, the young Irishman will look to level up from his consistent finishes to date this season and stand on the top step of podium at the historic facility.

With the 2019 season now reaching the halfway point, James Roe Jr. is set to turn up the wick. With a mathematical shot at the championship, the focus will shift for careful and calculated points scoring weekends to aggressive performances with the goal of the most podium results possible for the remainder of the year.

“I am extremely excited about getting back racing this weekend at VIR,” explained the Global Racing Group driver. “It’s the halfway point in the season and so far massive improvement has been made at every race weekend, especially at Pittsburgh. The competition was remarkably close at the last event, and I expect it to be no different at VIR. I will keep working hard with the team with the aim of being on the podium this coming weekend. Both the team and I feel we can achieve it and have the necessary tools to do so! Also, I am returning to a track that I won at in 2018 in the F2000 Championship Series so I am that much more confident.”

Going back to the Pittsburgh International Race Complex last month, Roe battled hard with a quintet of drivers as the top six were separated by very little. On a track that was very difficult to pass on, qualifying was key and James is expecting the same sort of scenarios this weekend.

Roe continued, “Qualifying, as it always is, will be very important. With the competition in the series, track position is very important. As always, a massive thank you all my sponsors, partners and supporters.”

In the spirit of trying to be helpful for the broader community, James Roe Jr. has arranged to carry the Social Entrepreneurs Ireland logo on the car in a brand ambassador type of role.

“This is an outstanding organization in Ireland that helps build sustainable solutions for many of the less fortunate people, including FoodCloud to feed the homeless and Men’s Sheds for men with limited social interaction. They have an active following in the United States and this will be a great link between the US and Europe.”

Taking on the Virginia International Raceway circuit this weekend, Roe and his Global Racing Group effort will continue to push hard and work tirelessly to ensure success for team, driver and partners. Official practice will get underway on Friday, with qualifying and the first wheel-to-wheel action of the weekend taking place on Saturday. Sunday will see two more chances to stand atop the podium with rounds eight and nine.
