POSTED 17th September 2019 CIRCUIT A Pair of Top-Five Results for James Roe Jr. in Florida September 16, 2019 – Fresh off a race win at Road America a few weeks ago, Global Racing Group driver James Roe Jr. was aiming for the top step of the podium during the final F3 Americas Powered by Honda event of the season. Taking place at the fast and bumpy Sebring International Raceway, the young Irish driver added a sixth place finish to a pair of top-five results as he closed the 2019 season fifth in the championship point standings and received six FIA Super License points. “It was a decent year for me in my first year of F3, but definitely could have be better,” explained James Roe. “I learned a lot and for me, 2020 starts now. I am going to strive to be better, faster and stronger next season as I look to challenge for a championship. I achieved several of my goals in 2019 and will reset them for next year.” Roe garnered six points towards his FIA Super License (Photo: Red Case Photography) After qualifying sixth for the first wheel-to-wheel action of the weekend, James Roe Jr. maintained his position in race one to finish sixth. Race two and three saw an increase in speed, and with that came better results as Roe finished fifth on Saturday afternoon’s second race of the weekend and repeated that performance on Sunday morning during the final race of the 2019 season. “I need to say thank you to the team. They worked tirelessly all weekend long chasing a brake issue and replaced many parts to find the root of the problem. Additionally, on top of that, they stayed late into the night on Saturday to replace a gearbox bearing that failed during the day. Super proud to be part of this program and can’t thank the guys enough.” Roe continued, “The main thing that I have learned this year is that track position is half the battle in this series. With the competitiveness of the teams and the talent level of the drivers, it is difficult to pass at the facilities that we compete at.” “I can’t thank everyone for their support all season long,” added Roe. “The team did a stellar job all year long and a huge congratulations to them for finishing first and second in the driver’s championship with three drivers in the top-five and dominating the Team Championship to claim that title as well. I can’t thank my supporters enough for their assistance all year. Thank you to CJJ Motorsports, Topcon Positioning Group, The Vortex Companies, Bennett Law Office and Social Entrepreneurs Ireland, without them I would not be where I am today.” For more information on James Roe and his 2020 racing program, or information on how to join his growing partner list, please contact James at JamesJr@JamesRoeJr.com or visit him online at JamesRoeJr.com.
