POSTED 26th February 2017 Formula 1 Haas F1 Team – Official Launch Of The VF-17 Livery Haas F1 Team – Official Launch of the VF-17 Livery in Kannapolis, North Carolina. The American team, who launched in F1 in 2016, have been preparing in the wind tunnel since mid 2016 for their 2017 car. We saw the VF-17 earlier yesterday without the livery, but now its all dressed up. It sports the familiar ‘sharks fin’, which you either love or hate. Either way, if it’s effective on track, it’s here to stay for the moment. The team, whose chassis is built by Italian constructor Dallara and powered by Ferrari engines, will certainly have the most challenging season. They are trying to develop within the new technical specifications, using a Ferrari power unit, Ferrari components and fitting them within a Haas developed chassis. If they can match the performance at start of the 2017 season that they delivered in 2016 (sixth place in Melbourne followed by 5th in Bahrain), that would be very impressive indeed. Grosjean stays on board in 2017 but will be partnered by Kevin Magnussen, who replaces Esteban Gutierrez. Share this:TwitterFacebook Related
